AX stool

The AX stool evokes the moment when a log, struck by the woodcutter's ax, splits in two. It is the temporalcrystallization of a gesture translated into a clean and extremely marked form.

Designed by Alessandro Stabile, Ax is a stackable stool with graphic purity that transcends time, suited to many different spontaneous situations from domestic spaces to contract environments.

The split that characterizes AX suggests its grip for moving and stacking. An ideal complement as informal seating in restaurants and bars or in exhibition spaces and contexts such as libraries and bookstores to quickly set up a talk area or to be freely placed in home interiors.

Made of ash plywood, it is available in five shades: alongside natural and black, blue, green, and red, that add a pop touch.

HUG chair

Hug is an upholstered dining chair has an enveloping line that forms the armrest and front legs. The name Hug stands for Humane, Universal and Genuine – but also, simply the feeling of receiving a warm hug.

MULE bench

Highlighting the skilled craftsmanship and the richness of material, Mule is a family of wooden benches with the elegant sculptural form, constructed with two monoliths in solid wood that support the suspended seat.

Mule can be interpreted in many different ways; from temporary seatings in a showroom or retail space, to a portable surface at home, for books and cell phone in the living room, as a nightstand or valet stand in the bedroom, or as a storage solution in the bathroom.

The bench is available in two sizes in a refined palette: olive green and oxide red, in addition to the classic black or smoke stain and natural ash.

Designer Alessandro Stabile says, "It's like a small temple that, with its solid continuity, conveys a sense of calm and seems to slow down the perception of time in those who observe it, inviting them to sit for a break in the flow of everyday life."

UPON chair and stool

The characterful Upon chair and stool by Sylvain Willenz comes down to one clever detail. As if by magic, the backrest sits on its contrasting metal frame with no fixings, but a hidden internal joint.

This efficient piece of engineering makes the multi-functional chair well suited to stacking, but visually effortless too. Upon’s form-pressed veneer backrest tapers out to just a 6mm edge, combining minimal looks, comfort and strength.

Together, Zilio A&C and Sylvain Willenz have created a pure and expressive design that can adapt to all settings: the home, office, or café. Upon can be adapted to have an upholstered seat for further comfort.
